Pit x Aliko: Victory is Sweetest...
... when you've known defeat.
Aliko kept silently running this through her head as Pit defeated her for the seventeenth time at Super Smash Bros.
She had told him so the first time he beat her, but he had just laughed it off with a heartwarming smile. She was sure that her face was still slightly tinted red.
Grumbling in irritation, the girl ran her hand through her thick brown tufts of hair. "How do you win every time? This can't be fair!"
Pit gave a faintly apologetic smile. "Do you want to take a break for now? I'm sure you'll do much better if we come back to it later!"
"F-fine," she sighed, "but don't expect to win again!"

Iceland x Reader: Borealis - Chapter 3
Trees had offered great comfort to you in the past. When you had lived with Uncle Tino, the two of you would often sit together on low tree branches and watch the sky. At the time, they were fascinating. Trees were just as alive as you were, yet couldn’t talk or sleep or walk like other creatures. They made you feel lucky to be yourself, and were often graced with beautiful fresh leaves or curling bare branches.
Now, you wanted to punch a tree.
Emil had dragged you down a dusty, collapsing hole, sticky with sap. It led to a small room filled with rubble and dirt, causing you to complain about his sense of hygiene.
Then both of you go
You knew you had strange friends.
One loved faeries and trolls, another was way too tsundere for his own good, one was too gullible, one was too scary, and one… well you thought he was perfectly fine, but everyone else considered him annoying.
Mathias could be a bit difficult at times, you had to admit, but there was nothing you treasured more than the time you spent with him. He had the most cheerful, slightly dense, bright blue eyes you had ever seen on a person, and his Christmas tree-like hair only served to heighten your interest in him.
He had poked you, tickled you, embarrassed you, copied your homework right before class, and

You sat on a warm sofa, squished between Matthias and Emil, trying to drink your soup. An annoyingly calm blond man sat on the sofa across from you, smirking at your discomfort. Emil held a tissue over his newly-healed eye, courtesy of his brother, Lukas, who was the most irritating person you had met.
“You’re comfortable there, right, ______?” Lukas asked.
Matthias laughed. “Of course she’s comfortable! Don’t be an idiot, Lukas!”
Then Matthias looked at you with such a happily innocent smile, and you gulped down the last shred of your pride.
“Uh… yeah. Sure,” you muttered incohe

You shivered as you looked out at the bleak, grey, icy landscape from your small makeshift shelter. The nearest town was supposed to be around 5 miles from here, according to your memory, so you could probably get there relatively soon. The sun was starting to rise, so you decided to wake up your friend and get moving. Night would come swiftly and dangerously.
“Emil,” you murmured, shaking his icy shoulder, “Wake up.”
A muffled groan was heard as he turned his pale head toward you, his lavender eye misty with sleep.
“I won’t call you big brother,” he tried to sleepily glare, “so stop trying.&

“Bloody hell! What is this mess?!” The only thing you could see through the foggy window was a fuming blond head looking at a broken furniture item. This was pretty normal. You neighbor Arthur’s cousin Alfred came over every week for “some awesome family bonding time, dude!”
To you, it seemed more stress-inducing than awesome.
Which is why, on this early Sunday morning, you were trudging through the wet mud to the Kirkland residence to try to save Alfred’s life. Pleasant morning, eh?
After ringing the doorbell, you found yourself pushed backwards by a door slammed into your face.
“What is it now?

You were sleepy. It was 11:30 p.m., and you decided that it was time for a movie. Of course, no movie night was complete without your best friend, Kiku Honda, right next to you. So, you decided to call him about 14 times after eating some stale chipotle until he finally picked up. Luckily, you were successful.
“______-chan, it’s midnight. Why are you carring this rate?” you heard your sleepy friend say.
“I wanted to watch a movie with you!”
To this, Kiku had no response.
“Great, I’ll take that silence as a yes! See you in half an hour!” you smirked.
You heard a sigh from the other end of the
